Whichever way Vera was going to go with it, guess it just meant Sailor was here for the ride. There were lots he didn't openly talk about, but you know, she could try. He'd likely just deny it all with a nice boyish smile. "Ah," the Ravenclaw said with a little nod. "No, food is an exception on Gamp's Law." Unfortunate, if he thought about it. Imagine how quickly things would have been if they could do that. Sailor always liked the faster way out if he could. He did, also, blink at Vera's....invitation? Was that an invite? "Uh. Uhm...okay? But if this is your attempt to steal my family's recipe, I'm already telling you now that it's never happening." To be fair, he didn't really know the recipe by heart or by memory. So it would like...wing it and make a taste test once in a while. And he'd have to send a letter to his parents for ingredients he was sure weren't in the kitchens... unless someone else with Chinese ingredients already left some in there. Sailor would gladly steal them.
Yes, well, family background wasn't a sweet subject to him. It was difficult not to make comparisons when there were other students sporting luxury clothes and carryings bags of coins like they were spare change. Though his parents gave him and his sister what they could, Sailor was stingy. No matter, though. He'd found easy ways to get by here at school. He also bit his tongue back from saying 'Berkshire' to Vera's statement. That gave too much away too easily. "Time to open up a British map, Thanatos." She seemed like someone who would need the exercise.
Eh. The glasses didn't look appealing to him, broken or not. Sailor imagined it would be rusty from all its time down there in the mud. "Well, you can dump it back in or toss it back here, but not at me if you want to avoid more problems." She could try if she wants! Not recommended, though.
