At least this time it was not because of the incessant drone of white noise whispers but rather the latest album drop of his current metal obsession of the moment, Fiendfyre Funeral, blasting into his ears. Some person or another had swept by him with unsolicited words of caution against listening to music so loudly and he had barely even bothered to glanced up from his sketchbook. In fact, the only real acknowledgement he had shown was a sharp click of his tongue against the back of his teeth and a casual grimace that they mind their own business. It really didn't matter if he blew his eardrums out one way or another, he would still be able to hear them.

The album about to start over again, the Slytherin lazily lifted his player and briefly debated switching to either Acts of Inferi or Weeping Unicorn but ultimately decided to give Fiendfyre Funeral the respect it demanded and started the album over for a fourth time that day. Maybe by his fifth listen through he will have finished his sketch and maybe then he would consider giving his homework consideration.

Pumping the volume up just a couple more notches, Joseph's head shook and tossed his long flaxen hair every which direction. The opening guitar solo and electric rifts needed their homage too. Especially once the drums came in, which likewise had the fourth year pausing his sketching and using his pencils instead to drum on his knees.
Even with dull subjects like herbology, Moe tended to find himself focusing too much on his assignments, the Ravenclaw part of his brain taking over at times and ending up in a trance where he tuned everything else out in favor of homework. Which was such a dull thing to admit to anyone, even his housemates. So at first, he didn't hear the racket his brother was making in the nearby armchair. He wouldn't have even noticed he was there if it wasn't for the metal music bleeding out of his headphones.

As he finished up his essay, tuning once again into the real world, he realized that someone was making a LOT of noise and listening to their music insanely loud. How had the librarian not come to shush them yet? Moe was always getting in trouble for being too loud when he tried to study with his friends. He believed the exact words the librarian had used to describe him was that he had a 'powerful voice'. Yet someone could apparently blast horrid metal music and that was fine?

He looked around, leaning back in his chair to find the source of the noise...and spotting his brother. He was whipping his hair back and forth to the music, drumming on his knees with pencils. He raised his eyebrows as he watched him, finding himself wondering once again how they in EARTH were related.

He COULD go over and try to get his attention but knowing that he had his headphones in, he probably wouldn't hear OR see him if he tried to wave at him or call out his name. So instead, he took a piece of parchment and scribbled a note on it. He crumpled it into a ball, smirking to himself as he took aim, and then, harnessing his fabulous chaser skills, he tossed it RIGHT at his twin's forehead.

Hey bro, you know, most people use the library to study...
