A small similarity? His brow rose again, the tiniest hint of a smug look wanting to reveal itself on Logan's face. After all, Vera did, in her own way, admit that he was right about things sometimes. However, the boy was going to silently relish in what he considered to be a victory.
She did have a point about how often they happened to be around each other. That was something he certainly could not disagree with. With the two of them being in the same House, her twin brother being his best friend, them sharing classes and meals together, they really were used to seeing each other on a frequent basis. Surely, then, she would be fully aware that he was, without a doubt, charming.
But if he was delusional, well, he could play that role rather easily. "Oh. That was you I've been around? Huh. Thought it was someone else..."
The blond third-year wanted to laugh at her persistence, but that was another thing he stifled. Instead, all he had to say was: "One of these days, maybe. I'll believe it when I see it." Though he was no Seer, he was having a hard time envisioning it. In his mind, there were a rare few who could put up with everything that was Vera Thanatos.
He wasn't really interested in the portraits within his view now. Landscapes, creatures, old witches and wizards, it seemed like this section of wall was a dud. When Vera asked her question, he heard it loud and clear. It did stun him briefly. But she really wanted to know... "Depends on the guy, really. Some like looks -- pretty eyes, well-kept hair, nice smell, flashy clothes, healthy and fit. Others like personality -- intelligence, confidence, sense of humour, good listener, touch of mystery. Some like a mix." As for what his preferences were, that thankfully hadn't been the question.
