Milo agreed with keeping his raven confined to the barn about as much as he agreed with his own self being confined to certain parts of the castle at certain times, or to the castle itself. Suffice it to say, he ignored the rule for Huginn and Muninn about as much as he ignored it for himself, and only minutes earlier had participated in a jailbreak on behalf of his jailbird, who was now, potentially, out hunting for carrion in the forest. They might reconvene at Ravenclaw tower later, but Milo didn't know. The point was that his raven could do as it wished until they met again in the indefinite future.
For that reason, he just happened to be in the area, and passing the time without much intention when he heard a whispering from the reptile room. After a split second consideration, he poked his head through the doorway in time to just about make out the last part and, more importantly, the individual responsible.
"Thank you," Milo said, his delivery as deadpan as ever. He drew the rest of his body into the room so that he was, in effect, joining Arden. "Is the snake yours?"
