He didn't particularly like the swamp either, but he was just Here™.

Watching a bubble grow on the surface of the swamp and then popping, dissipating, had some weirdly therapeutic effects apparently.

Just as he had watched another bubble pop, Sailor heard the clunking and the....squeaking of someone's rubber boots behind him. His solitude was not entirely ruined yet, because that person could just be passing by. But it was the 'howdy' for him, followed by his name in a voice that his memory could very easily associate with only one person.

Of course.

The Ravenclaw turned around to...openly judge what Vera was wearing. "That does not look like swimwear to me, Vera Thanatos." Because while the logical explanation would be that she was looking for something among that muck, Sailor entertained the idea that maybe some people just want to have a dip into that thing. Like some mud bath. Clearly, Vera was the type. She certainly was in his eyes.

It really was unhelpful that her boots were a little too large for her feet, something she'd previously thought would be a benefit so she could grow into them and use them for multiple years, but now that she had worn them for a longer tread around the castle she was beginning to realize not having the proper fit was exhausting. And her shoes were even extra squeaky because half the time she had to just... shuffle them along the ground. The steps themselves were also extra loud because it took everything in her to keep the shoes ON her feet.

She didn't remember them being this bad. Had she maybe taken Vasco's? Labeling her stuff 'V. Thanatos' was maybe not as helpful as she'd initially thought.

Anywho.

When Sailor turned and looked at her, she simply smiled back at him - attempting to look as innocent as possible. Though this was short lived, as his were drew a very exaggerated eye roll from her. "Of course it isn't swim wear, Sailor Zhang. That's reserved for the slug pit, not the swamp. Who would swim here?" She responded, as if this was the most obvious answer that could be given. Moving herself closer still, she peered down at the bubbling murk, her nose scrunching at disgust of the fact she'd have to step INTO that. "What are you doing here anyways? Are you just... enjoying the swamp?" It had looked like he'd just been staring at it as she approached, which meant her question was asked with just as much judgement as she'd seen in his gaze prior.

Who could like this place?
