But for the millionth time since her Hogwarts career began, apparently the moving staircase decided the Weasley Swamp was on the agenda. And when she'd arrived here about an hour prior, she'd been in such a haste to scurry away she hadn't been quick enough to stop the silver charm bracelet she'd been wearing early to fall and sink into the murky pit.

Just.. brilliant.

She could have decided to just.. call it a loss, but it was new to her and she liked it. Which was what then found the Gryffindor sprinting to her dorm only so she could return in some big rubber boots she generally saved for Creatures Club, an old pair of tattered blue jeans, her back up pair of dragon hide gloves, and an oversize pajama shirt. She didn't want to ruin NICE clothes for this.

Clunking her way back towards the swamp, she was able to see the familiar figure of her Ravenclaw year mate, which is where she began to feel more like maybe luck HAD been on her side. Vasco was so utterly done with her lately, she'd been trying to tone it down on the poking fun of him. And with Professor Paton now her head of house, there was a line she'd drawn to how far she could tease Logan. But Sailor? She got the inclination he might find her just as nearly exasperating as the others. That might be some fun. "Howdy, Sailor!" She called as she moved closer, the rain boots far too loud on the corridor floor.

Sailor truly understood why nobody liked it here. There were far more better places to be in, anyway, and far better things to be doing than perceiving the swamp. Because obviously the older students were snogging in some empty classroom. And the others were probably doing their homework, among other socially acceptable activities. He didn't particularly like the swamp either, but he was just Here™.

Watching a bubble grow on the surface of the swamp and then popping, dissipating, had some weirdly therapeutic effects apparently.

Just as he had watched another bubble pop, Sailor heard the clunking and the....squeaking of someone's rubber boots behind him. His solitude was not entirely ruined yet, because that person could just be passing by. But it was the 'howdy' for him, followed by his name in a voice that his memory could very easily associate with only one person.

Of course.

The Ravenclaw turned around to...openly judge what Vera was wearing. "That does not look like swimwear to me, Vera Thanatos." Because while the logical explanation would be that she was looking for something among that muck, Sailor entertained the idea that maybe some people just want to have a dip into that thing. Like some mud bath. Clearly, Vera was the type. She certainly was in his eyes.
