But friendship was an entirely different thing. “I really don’t get jealous but I might if my fear comes through.” He was only human, after all. Holden’s other comment had him staring for a moment but then it was cleared up. “You lost a best friend?” Could anything be more heartbreaking?!

“That’ll be great! We just need to set a day and time and I’ll be there!’’ This guy was one hundred percent ready to hear about all of those adventures! Well, as much as Holden could tell him, that is; he completely got that some aspects were classified.

Jude… hadn’t visited Holden’s office in like… ever. Actually, he hadn’t visited a bit of the professors’ in their offices at all. He had always managed to catch them around the Castle. Looking at the pictures, he couldn’t help but smile. “Your wife is extremely beautiful, professor! Also, it’s difficult to believe you were once that young. Just kidding!” It was his little joke. It was nice, keeping pictures of your bestie after all these years. Jude nodded. “It makes sense, you and your friends having assigned nicknames like that. I think it made some bit of the SHerlock Holmes world real.” He thought it was PRETTY neat!

"At loggerheads!" chuckled Simon with a smile filled with mirth. "I haven't heard that phrase in ages.... But yes, we were at loggerheads.. We were at odds with each other about it. He was into sports and all of that. I was the stereotypical quiet younger brother who preferred to read. I'm sure you can imagine the dynamic." It had been a source of quarrel for years. It only got worse when Olivia - err, Vi now- also got to attend Hogwarts. But it became better as they grew. Everyone had their own gifts and they didn't have to be magical to be wonderful. "It's tough to share things about your life when you have to keep the world we live in a secret. It's as if we're straddling two worlds. It can feel quite isolating."

Simon remained quiet, listening to Jude as he spoke about his friendship with Mr. Nam. His eyebrows raised when the boy turned around to look at him with a face of horror and sadness. Huh? What? He replayed the words in his hand and then realised how his words could have been interpreted. "Uh.. not like that! Sorry, meant to say that both of us have someone more important in our life... We're still best friends to a degree but.. we both got married to our best friends... our wives." He paused. "What I mean to say is that you don't lose your best friend.. your relationship changes..."

He appreciated Jude's enthusiasm and nodded. "Sounds like a plan. Thursdays tend to be a bit freer from a schedule standpoint. Less classes that day." And hopefully they had seen the most of Peeves and his antics this year.

Simon let out a hearty laugh. "Yeah, that's just a stock image I found on the web. All Professors are vampires.. We are just born a certain age and never age from there," he joked. Heh. He had heard all the stories about Professors in the past. He had been just a Slytherin student before. "It did. Y'know... Simon Holden... Sherlock Holmes. Just sayin'"

He closed his pocket watch after noting the time and then stood up. Slipping the pocket watch back into his pocket, he then extended a hand out to Jude to shake his hand. A form of saying "See you". "Well I ought to let you get back to your letter, Mr. Anders. Offer still stands to come visit in my office."
