And he’d have to really not be himself to misbehave and cause drama with the various animals within the barn. Come on…how many eight year olds were tested to properly greet a hippogriff at such a young age?

Having finished greeting the smaller creatures, the sixth year figured to move onto the ones with their own stalls like the aforementioned hippogriffs. And the Thestrals that he could now see thanks to events in his first year. On second thought…

“What will you be working on?” he asked his aunt curiously.
"I didn't think so," she replied with a small laugh. Raj was one of the students whom she already knew that she could trust around any of the creatures and not have to worry. She knew that he wouldn't cause any trouble and should something occur with the creatures she was still going to be in the barn anyhow.

Hadleigh was already walking around the barn and looking into each enclosure and stall. "Right now I'll changing out all of the water so they all have fresh water to drink and getting rid of any left over food from breakfast time." This was a base walk through that she liked to do throughout the day. Making sure things were clean and the water and food were fresh. Cleaning up messes was another thing she did often so that there was less of a chance of anyone or any creatures stepping in messes.

About everything, actually, but that was beside the point. Today he was curious about the animals that Hogwarts had, and so he'd made his way down to the barns to have a poke around.

Quite literally. Because on the way down to the barns, Reuben had found a super long stick, and of course he'd had no choice but to pick it up. Now he was using it to poke around - at the walls of the stalls, the straw and other things that one would expect to find there.

He was a little wary of the animals, though.
Professor Hadleigh Paton was already in the barn when young Reuben had made his way inside. There was always something to do and all of the creatures kept her busy. From cleaning stalls and enclosures, feeding and giving water, baths and grooming there was also playtime and exercise too! Having so many creatures to tend to took a lot of work and even more time but it was what she loved to do.

From where she currently was all the way in the last stall currently brushing one of the Abraxans it took her a moment to get around to the front of the stall and peer over the gate so she can try to see who had come in. "Hello?" she called out loud enough to be heard but not where she would frighten any of the creatures. She couldn't make out who it was right away as they had their back to her, therefore she wasn't really sure what all they were looking at either? The barns could be rather interesting if one wasn't used to such a place.
