Hope everything is okay with you!” She offered him a toothy smile then went to grab a seat.

Said seat she selected happened to be somewhere in the middle of the room. Aria busied herself with retrieving her books, quill and ink from her bag.
"I'm doing just fine, thank you Miss McLeod," Javier said with a nod as he too began to unpack his things for the lesson. Normally he'd have the whole ingredient list laid out in front of them - but yeah, running late. That whole thing.

All ugly feelings wrapping around her in a cloak of miserabl-ility.

She offered Professor Hernandez a small smile as he welcomed them. Her voice was quieter than normal. “All good, Professor. How are you?” Hopefully things were okay with her Potions instructor.

She gave Aria a smile before choosing her seat and getting set up. Textbook and notebook on the table, Lisa sighed and pretended to read her textbook.

Avoidance was the best solution to protect her feelings, yes?
"Good, thank you Miss Nam," he replied with a smile at the young Ravenclaw.

When she was getting too bored in class, she would squish them. It was like having your own fidget toy or something that NO ONE could steal. She supposed, though, someone could take her hair away either with a well-placed charm or simply snipping it all off, but that would be rude. No one would do that, right?

So she took a seat to wait for class to start. Potions was a hit or miss, and it kind of depended on what they were doing. It wasn't often professors were late, so Arden grinned as Professor Hernandez did indeed come in just a little after them. "Good day, Professor," she said airily as she leaned back in her chair, like allllll the way back so that the front legs were off the floor, and she was using her feet to push back. If she fell - oh well!
"Good day Miss Toros," Javier greeted Arden in return.

Big brother's could be comforting, but he wasn't sure if she really wanted to talk to him about the full extent of whatever was bothering her.

Not even noticing Professor Hernandez had been late, when the man arrived Evan followed in after the rest of the class, offering and quick "Hello, Professor" and purposefully following Lisa to select the seat beside her. He give her shoulder a slight squeeze before settling into his chair, and noticed Daniel behind her who got a nod of acknowledgement as well before he began to pull out everything he needed. He wasn't sure if it was something he'd get in trouble for, but in the process he pulled out a wrapped sherbet drop and placed it in front of Lee.

Sugar was one of the only ways he knew how to help.
Javier noticed that the next few students who entered simply headed to their seats - which was fine by Javi, since he was never a huge fan of small talk. But he smiled at Evan as he walked in, watching as he took his seat. "Hello Mister Nam," he returned the greeting.

It had not been intentional and Aries slept like he had taken a phial of Draught of Living Death, so even as Atlas had been dashing off with his uniform in an uncharacteristic disarray his twin had not budged. He had tried (okay?) given his bum a firm whack with his bookbag to the bum on the way out the door.

In any event, he had arrived only about a minute before Professor Hernandez had arrived and was certainly not about to draw attention to the fact that he was all huffing and puffing from the sprint down here from the seventh floor. Nothing to see here. Everything just hunky dory.

Shuffling in with the rest of the crowd and flashing the man a thumbs up as he passed. "No sweat, professor," he assured him, confidently, as he moved towards a seat...trying not to look too disgruntled by a CERTAIN seating arrangement between a CERTAIN Ravenclaw and a CERTAIN Hufflepuff. He was almost tempted to take a seat next to Daniel...if for no other reason than sitting next to his pseudo arch nemesis would keep him alert, but decided against it. He instead took the table beside Lisa and Evan.

Candy?

"Pssssst," he whispered, leaning over and kind of into Lisa's space so he could be heard better. "Do you have another?"
Javier chuckled a little at Atlas' greeting and gave him a little nod as he watched him take his seat, completely oblivious to whatever teenage ~drama~ was going on between them.

"Alright class - let's hop right into it," he said with a smile, clapping his hands once to get everyone's attention back on him. "Today we're going to be studying a rather...UNIQUE potion. But before we get to that, I have an interesting question for you all," he began.

"I want you all to think about what would happen if we were unable to use our ability to speak. What sort of problems might you run in to? How would it change your life?" he asked them. He knew it was kind of a loaded question, but he wanted them to try and think outside the box. It was likely an issue they'd never thought about before and he was interested to see how they approached it.

OOC: Onto the first question! We'll move along in about 24 hours - if you need me let me know in the top of your post!
