Lisa had been waiting slightly behind Aria. Normally the bubbly Ravenclaw would have made small talk with her fellow peers but she didn’t feel like it today. Instead, she was stuck in her thoughts, replaying her last conversation with a good friend of hers. Well. She didn’t even know where they stood. She felt hurt, betrayed, and jealous. All ugly feelings wrapping around her in a cloak of miserabl-ility.

She offered Professor Hernandez a small smile as he welcomed them. Her voice was quieter than normal. “All good, Professor. How are you?” Hopefully things were okay with her Potions instructor.

She gave Aria a smile before choosing her seat and getting set up. Textbook and notebook on the table, Lisa sighed and pretended to read her textbook.

Avoidance was the best solution to protect her feelings, yes?
