Once it had been announced where they were going, Ronan rolled his eyes. When he saw how they meant to get to this mythical city, blue eyes were indeed rolled again. When someone on the submarine started singing 'We all live in a yellow submarine' badly and at the top of their lungs, he made a cutting remark about someone liking the Beatles a bit too much. Now, standing in the cavern entrance, waiting for his turn to enter and peeking at what he could see from here, he couldn't help but think how tacky everything looked.

What's eating him, you ask? Only the fact that everyone with even a toe outside of the wizarding world knew that Atlantis was ol' Plato's allegory for the evils of aggressive imperialism. And to have the merpeople capitalize on the sheer ignorance most wizards had about the ancient Greek philosophers in the name of......what even was the merpeople's goal, anyway? Basically, the whole thing reeked of ulterior motives and the auror didn't like it. Also, outside of that, other dreamers had rendered the fictional place much better than the merpeople had.

Once he was able to make his way past the entrance, he quickly made his way to the dining room and found his seat. Thankfully, it seemed like they had assigned the seats according to department so he didn't have to make small talk with someone he didn't know or try to hide the fact that this whole thing felt fishy to him.

And yes, tonight he was only avoiding the merpeople dishes. Didn't want to create an interspecies incident before he was sure of the motives at play here.
