~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Jude couldn’t help it; he was grinning big time. Not because of the success at the course so far but because of Keighley. She made him so happy with the enthusiastic way she was cheering him on. This served as the perfect distraction to him. “Come on, Keigh!” the older Hufflepuff shouted after cupping his hands around his mouth. Shortly after, he crossed his fingers because he wanted his sister to succeed too. But if they had to start all over again, that would be fine too because he simply lived for moments like these when they got to do fun activities.
The boy hugged Keighly back happily the moment she put her arms around him. Truly, there was no sister better than this ball of sunshine and flowers! “Knew you could do it!” he told her, squishing her tightly. Just as he knew she could handle the balance beam as well. “Yep. This one’s going to be the easiest.” For obvious reasons.
Releasing Keigh, he stepped towards the beam that was over the kiddie pool and soon enough he stood on it. His arms were stretched out slightly on either side of him but being a dancer, grace and balance was something that came easily to him. One foot in front of the other repeatedly took him further along the beam. And you know what? Jude was enjoying every moment of it.
Before long, he came to the end and jumped off, landing neatly and gracefully on both feet. Another part of the course was complete. “Your turn, Keigh!” |
