There were so many possible themes for the dance. Jude didn’t envy anyone who had to make the final decision. Leave it to his sister to suggest a spring theme with flowers and creatures. He liked that idea, actually, even if he was being biased because Keigh suggested it. As for Desiree, of course she liked his idea. Jude shot her a smile. He truly loved the little Hufflepuff’s enthusiasm for his idea and her Little Mermaid talk. Truly, he’d be happy {or hoped he’d be in that mood by then} to attend whatever theme and have a good time, have a dance with his friends and sisters and just have a good time in general. Jude settled back into his seat, his fingers tapping once again on Keigh’s knuckles as he thought about what the upcoming months held for him. Lost in his thoughts he was, it came as a surprise to hear his name being mentioned. It took him a moment to register that it had been Evan who said his name, apparently in agreement to something he had mentioned earlier. Jude didn’t look his way though. He couldn’t. But from what he could gather, there was a lot of agreement for the dance to happen outdoors. That was it. That was all the Hufflepuff wanted: an outdoor dance.
Jude absently eyed the list Kazmi made. In truth, he’d prefer any activity to be after exams because hello, he was writing OWLs. It would have eased them directly into the summer, which he was looking forward to… hopefully he’d have a better one this time around? Oh, the visits with the cousins could be included, the hangouts with Davet and the siblings too, loads of dancing, more concerts and him playing the piano at them… yes. That’s the summer Jude wanted.
Anyway, the Hufflepuff was quite happy with the elemental theme party. In any case, he’d be there for a good time mainly so a theme hardly bothered him. Eyeing the chalk’s antics, he couldn’t help but chuckle as Kazmi grabbed it. Quite the character that chalk was. But the colour themes… naturally, bright colours came to Jude’s mind. Bright colours were life, after all. Eventually he raised a hand half way up again.
“For Earth, I suggest evergreen, air - xanthic, fire - red-orange, ice - celtic blue, aether - outer space.”
