He'd stopped to get a drink of water. One drink of water turned into two drinks of water which turned into three... He hadn't drunk that much at one time since the Encephalons fiasco had caused him to drink an entire pot of coffee. But the need for water was growing stronger and the closer he got to the Atrium, the more he wanted to dunk his head under water. It was almost like he was a fish out of water and couldn't breath.
"Excuse me!" called pushing past someone. He was starting to unbutton his shirt and just as he reached the fountain's edge, he pulled it off over his head and dropped it. He still had on his undershirt, but now his arms with the white scar marks from the Encephalons were visible. That in and of itself was unusual. Adam never wore short sleeves in public because he was afraid of what people would think. But to add to the oddity, Adam was toeing off his shoes and climbing over the rim of the fountain.
The moment his bare toes hit the water he sucked in a deep breath and felt a little relief. Giddiness bubbled up inside of him and erupted in a loud gurgling giggle as he started splashing around the fountain, looking very much like a certain muggle actor who liked to 'sing and dance in the rain.'
