Miss McLeod was the first student to appear. She was always so smiley around him and he figured it was because she enjoyed his lectures so much. Little did he know that he was often referenced as Professor Eye Candy amongst some of the student population…. “Miss McLeod… Both physically and mentally stimulating I assure you!” he replied back with a smile.
He turned his attention to the next student who was surprisingly quiet when he arrived. Mr. Yoon was unusually quiet. Was it teenage angst? “Mr. Yoon?” he greeted slash questioned, not sure how to take his quietness. Usually the lad was asking about a book or something.
“Miss Blackthorne!” he greeted enthusiastically. He was glad to see her here. Miss Blackthorne was astute student indeed.
He gave a few more seconds and foot tapping before turning to the group of students. “Welcome to our new Quiz Bowl activity. Instead of being in our normal setting, I decided to take inspiration from an ancient Muggle show that had students compete physically and mentally. It seemed fun and creative so I thought… why not?”
He paused, gauging his audience’s reactions before continuing. “Today we shall commence practice with this challenge. First you will answer my question and then if you get the question right, you will be eligible to get items to help you construct a vessel to cross the swamp to our next checkpoint.” Simon glanced at the students and then gave pause to ensure that they were following them.
“Our first question is… an ingredient themed one… By what other name are Wolfsbane and Monkshood, also known as? ”
OOC: Ok! Here’s the first question. Feel free to answer and then RP your character coming up with a creative solution to crossing the swamp. When they answer the question correctly, they will be given rope, wood, and more items (whatever you desire) to get them across the swamp! Happy creativity!
