For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, something that felt particularly true in this moment as he absorbed the force of her impact and was propelled backwards into a pile of blonde Gryffindor on the floor...with some of her laundry covering his head. He didn't know what it was, but it was at least covering his face which spared him some embarrassment.

His bum was a bit sore though.
