Where was Yukie Rasting? She was right there, squishing herself into the space between her twin sister and brother. By doing so, the eleven-year-old had allowed everyone to notice how much she was shorter compared to her two older siblings. The littlest Rasting didn't mind that she was the littlest, but the idea of them getting their sorting was exciting and overwhelming at the same time and so she wanted them to be together for it. It didn't dawn on her until the sorting started that it would be alphabetical, which went she'd go last in the trio, and so she held the hands of her siblings. Solidarity, strength, and whatnot. The only times she'd ever let them go were to clap for Mercer's, Marina's, Mozzie's, and Enzo's sortings, and to allow Mitsuki and Michael to head up for their own sorting. She let go of Mitsuki's hand first, transferring her now empty hand to Michael's so now she's holding his with both her tiny hands, until Michael had to head up himself.

Her hands felt empty as she clasped them together. All she had to do was wait. They had been waiting for this for so long, after all. She also hoped nobody complained about there being three Rastings taking up their time in this ceremony.

"Rasting, Yukie Selina."

She made her way towards the stool, muttering little 'excuse me's as she passed through the rest of her fellow sorties. There weren't a lot of them anymore, considering she was probably at the near bottom of the list, but manners were always necessary. Yukie picked up the sorting hat, gave it a little brush because there was a tiny speck of dust there (this poor old thing!), and then placed it atop her head as she sat. Of course, the hat slid down. It was too big for her, and she was left looking at the darkness of its interior. Maybe it was better that way.

It was a little quiet for a bit. "Hello?" Yukie greeted sheepishly.

Are you the last one?

"Huh?" Utter confusion.

The last Rasting?

"Oh...yes, I am...." She felt her ears prickle and her cheeks warm up. Yukie had no control over three of them being born on the same day, okay?? She swung her legs as she waited.

I remember your mother and father. Your siblings. Your uncles. Your grandfather. Well, of course it did! Yukie had always assumed the hat had excellent memory for remembering generations and generations of wizards being sorted in this great hall. Such valuable information. Imagine if it got stolen one day.

You've plenty of traits that all of the houses seek and treasure. You're also a little bit of everyone you've ever known. Something about that sounded really nice to Yukie's ears. It was comforting. She may be small, but she felt like the grandest person in the universe when the people she loved were involved, so perhaps the hat was right about that.

"That was nice to hear, thank you," Yukie mumbled. Keep your heart big and pure, young one. And do send my regards to your father, Lewis, and your sister, Rebecca. "Hmm? What? Why just them?"

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

OH! Oh. That's why! As the hat's last words were broadcasted and echoed through the hall, Yukie slowly lifted the hat from her head, during which she saw cheers and clapping from the table with the yellow banners. If it were possible to have stars in her eyes, they'd be shimmering at this very moment.

Yukie smiled brightly as she made her way to the Hufflepuff table. Like where her daddy and big sister sat years before.
