~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes. Soon enough, the top layer of frosting was added perfectly. Or rather, as perfect as Claudine could get it to be. Adding the flowery design was what Claudine was both nervous and excited about. The colours she wanted to use - two different ones than the ones that were actually in the photo, which she hoped Applewood would not mind. One was a dull purple and the other a rosy pink.
The Snakette got to work. She realised it was more difficult than she anticipated to accomplish the task using the piping bags since the flowers had to be drawn on the sides. Purple roses were added first. The first rose took a while because Claudine wanted to get it neatly down. But once it was done, she skipped a bit of space then added the next purple rose. As she progressed, Claudine got the hang of the task until she was able to add each rose in a shorter time.
With there no more space left for purple, pink roses were added to fill the spaces. Overall, the results weren’t bad for someone who had their first dabble with cake decorating. And no… Claudine didn’t want to have a bite out of this one; it was too pretty. |
