Kale snapped his fingers thoughtfully."Flat rocks." Then, he beamed boyish and silly. "Knew I was forgetting something." No wonder they kept sinking to the bottom of the swamp. Flat. Rocks. Ingenious.
As he started to search the shoreline of the swamp for flat, smooth rocks, he lifted his head in surprise. Was he okay? Kale blinked twice. "Do I not seem okay?" Cuz as far as he knew, life was pretty good. Better than good. He'd had way worse moments in his life than disappointment he was cruddy at skipping rocks.
