Ari had begged to go see her grandpa Albert, so there had been a slight detour on the way to the Ministry orientation. Dylan had left her oldest with Albert, telling him all about her past birthday and other random things that had passed through the six-year old’s thoughts, and the twins with their grandma Antheia, before she had Apparated over near the clearing.

The raffle ticket she had been handed had been stowed away in her coat pocket as she had taken a moment to peruse everything that had been set up for the Ministry employees. All the Quidditch references amused her, if only because it reminded her off her uncle, and her dad. There were several family members that came to mind that would have loved to win a trip to the World Cup. It nearly made the Unspeakable wish she’d been even half as interested in the topic as they had been. Alas, not as much. Nor did it appear many of her coworkers had arrived yet, although she’d seen Laurel, Damian and Jane near the food tables. Off in that direction she went.

The cold never bothered her anyway…Not exactly true but the line had been amusing Skye as she had thought it upon arriving at the clearing. It was definitely cold, but the blonde had bundled up rather well. Honestly, she hardly expected anyone to even be able to tell it was her, but mum had insisted that she stay warm as soon as she had found anything out about the event. Stay warm and preferably not try and accost any cult members, as dad had added before she had left. Dad had been both proud and maybe a bit too concerned upon hearing of that little incident, but at least he hadn’t told her she needed to step down. Besides, the twenty-one-year-old knew he knew she’d have just reminded him of his exploits way back when. Stories were a double edged sword.

However, for now she’d taken to just mingling, seeing as she had yet to see either her cousin or any of her fellow A&C employees. Or her department head. Anyone she particularly remembered speaking to at any point, so for the meantime she’d just mingle.
