Peralta looked upset, so Ash refrained from commenting about her apparent decision to be a substitute herbology teacher. But she definitely smirked a bit to herself, because it was a hilarious thought that she was bursting to share.

Ash held her tongue.
"Yes, hello." Neva too had suffered because of the vines, though it had been a whole day prior and she'd thought she'd gotten her revenge by ridding herself of this mess, but apparently she'd been wrong.

Yes, Peralta was upset.

Didn’t Peralta want help to clean this up though? It would seem she didn’t, given the note on the board. Claudine shrugged and carefully continued to maneuver her way to a seat next to a particular Ravenclaw. "Hey, Ash. Darn inconveniencing these vines are, aren't they?"
"Hello." Hi. Yes, Neva wanted to clean up this mess. She had, in fact, but the vines didn't seem to be taking her seriously and for that, they'd be very sorry.

He located himself a spot to sit, pulling his book and paper out in order to take notes. Maybe they'd learn something handy today in order to remove the vines?
"Hi there." Well, at least the kids were being careful. The only thing that could make her feel more annoyed was unnecessary injuries to deal with.

She walked into the room quietly and offered Professor Peralta a small, reserved smile. But it wasn't uncharacteristic of her. Not lately, anyway. This was Kinsay 2.0. New and improved and not incessant in any way. "Hi, Professor," but she didn't want to stand up front for too long, so she quickly made her way towards a desk somewhere in the middle of the room. The middle was the safest. The middle was unassuming and didn't draw attention and made it easier to daydream and blend in and just exist.
"Hello." If Neva was feeling more like herself, the Charms professor probably would've questioned the reserved nature of Miss James. For the record, she happened to like her energy and her questions.

Vines? That was normal, right? Perhaps it was just a rogue plant that was misplaced, and considering that said plant was magical, it could well thrive without human supervision. All in all, the day was as normal as--. The Gryffindor stopped dead in his tracks, looking around the classroom. To be honest, he thought Professor Peralta was the kind of person who'd take in plants as her children. You know, like a plant parent. But the assumption was quickly disregarded as Noah saw the Charms professor wasn't having any of the vines' mischief today. "Hello, professor." the Gryffindor greeted the woman with a tinge of uncertainty in his voice as he continued to look around the classroom."Hey guys," a 'sup nod was given to his classmates who were already there, as he took his usual seat at the back.
"Mr. Mordaunt, hello." Professor Peralta liked the aesthetic of plants in a space, but this was not that. No plant parenting here. No, Neva wanted these vines out of her space. It just seemed like something she'd have to deal with later. For now, she was going to glare at them.

"Hello. Welcome." She appreciated the cheer, she did. She needed it, actually. It was the first step to shaking off her annoyance.

Huff was her reaction when she walked into the Charms classroom and saw it covered in the pesky plant. WHAT a nuisance, MERLIN.

Not bothering about being careful with the vine, the Hufflepuff stomped her way through it - stomping ON it most of her way to a seat, rather, because take THAT, annoying plant. HUFF.

She took a seat with an annoyed pout and frown.

Annnoooyyyeeeedddd she was. Could you tell?
Luckily for little Miss Mordaunt, Neva could relate to how she was feeling. It was the only reason the second year hadn't been called out for not greeting the professor.

There was always one... At least this one was able to catch himself before any dramatic fall could take place. The Charms professor raised her eyebrows slightly and glanced at the board, and then back to the sixth year. "Hello."

He just hoped they wouldn't randomly spring to life and start eating people, like the plant in a certain musical he knew. Then again, this was Hogwarts. Weirder things had happened!

Cautiously stepping over the vines, he made his way farther into the room. "Hello, Professor Peralta," he greeted, giving the woman a polite nod of acknowledgment. He took a seat next to Claudine and Ash and neatly arranged his supplies on the desk in front of him. "Hi," he said, smiling slightly at each girl in turn.*
"Mr. Jones, just in time." Neva carefully side stepped over a vine as she moved towards the board, casually closing the door with a flick of her wrist to indicate that it was time to get things started.

After erasing the board with a flourish of her wand, Neva turned towards the students and sighed. "While the vines are an annoyance, I ask that we try our best to work around them today while we learn a new spell." They could handle that, yes? "So putting them out of our minds, let's get started." She rolled her neck and centered herself and then she wrote the word 'Graffiti' on the board.

"We've been focusing on art this term and how charms can be an art medium used by us to create different types of artwork. Today, we're going to focus our efforts on Graffiti. So, what do you know about Graffiti? Where is it typically found? How is it typically made?" She looked around the room and then perched on her desk, waiting for the answers to roll in.

OOC: Hello hello! First questions are up! What do you know about Graffiti? Where is it typically found? How is it typically made? Your character can share whatever they know, or they can take a guess if they know nothing at all, that's cool too! You'll have about 24 hours before class moves on!
