Evan shot a look at Flamsteed when he pushed his way through the small crowd, there was plenty of space after all still, though the slight annoyance he might have felt at this quickly changed to curiosity hearing the Gryffindor's question, and eyes turned back to the giant squid. He hadn't heard this theory before, but it certainly sounded interesting. Though the thing he was most hung up on was... was it possible to have an animagus as a giant squid? Could he pick an animagus should he ever want to go that route? There was not many things he'd been independently researching this term, an attempt at having more FuN, but this seemed a good exception.
Even if it was a bit of a bummer that the theory was probably incorrect.
The note taking was a good idea and he was also glad Atlas had thought of it. But the news was.... concerning. The plants underwater were dying? The greenhouse hadn't been looking too hot either, as of late. Evan frowned a bit, tilting his head at the news before asking a further question. "Excuse me, sir. Other than the plants dying, is there anything else weird about them you've noticed? Or are any of the creatures getting sick?" More information might just be able to give Professor's Flamsteed and Paszek a better idea of how best to approach the problem.
