Laurel had finished the mug for her daughter and had just taken a second mug when the distinctive voice of her husbands reached her ears. He was only a little late by Aaron time so Laurel wasn’t going to complain about that even if she thought a few things. Instead she turned to her husband and gave him a quick kiss on the mouth in greeting "Hi, this was a lovely surprise," smiling heartily as she pulled back slightly. "That is the plan. Husband will be decorated on it in big hard to miss letters. Do you still want them to be in red and gold?" Aarons favourite colours changed with his favourite quidditch team so it was best to ask.

Spotting a woman dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and dark glasses Aurora held up a smoothie glass and called out with a wave. "Good morning, would you care for a fruit smoothie? We can make any fruit combination you wish. I promise they are cold and fresh." If they didn’t have the fruit this woman might want, they always had magic to rely on and use if the need arose.

Neatly she caught the chocolate muffin that Peggy tossed over to her from the air like it had been a quidditch ball before it ended up in the smoothie bowl. After taking a bite she smiled from ear to ear as she flashed a glance in her friend’s direction.. "The muffin is delicious. Thanks Peggy! Shall we meet for coffee later today?"

Beaming broadly at the younger woman Aurora said "It’s a pleasure to meet you Bette! I’m glad you like the fruit smoothie." Praise was always welcomed. Neither she nor Raini were expert smoothie makers. After Raini had introduced himself Aurora cut in to do the same. "I'm Aurora Bagnold, department head of the creatures department. I hope you’ll enjoy working for the ministry Bette." After cutting up some more fruit and producing some new glasses she reassured Bette. "Oh, we don’t have this hustle and bustle every day, it’s just once a year when we welcome new employees that we organize a mandatory orientation event."If they had big events every day then no work would get done. Aurora didn’t even want to imagine the load of cases that would be mounting themselves on her desk. Shudder…..

Why did she always seem to get stuck with a man or woman for that matter with big voice resources? It was her destiny it seemed. Hopefully Forrest only used his booming voice in times of need, like when to be heard by a lot of employees in a big space, not when they’d have meetings. Time would tell. Flicking a glance over in Forrest’s direction she considered his question thoughtfully. “I’d like a surprise Forrest!” Aurora called over to her colleague. "It will be interesting to see what kind of type person you think I am." Was he going to be spot on or totally wrong?

Was it wrong of Laurel to feel proud and a little flattered that Jude seemed to stutter when he took in what level she worked on? No, not in her mind at least. Throwing a glance over her mug at him she affirmed. "Yes, level 9 is the mystery department deep down in the underground." She couldn’t elaborate more because she wasn’t allowed to, their work was confidential. "Where did you say you work Jude?" Or had he not shared that? Laurel couldn’t remember exactly, the mug decorating was her main focus right now. Shrugging she said to Jude "Make 3 mugs or even 7, the man in charge doesn’t mind..So decorate away!" It wasn’t her place, anyway. Jude could decorate how many or as few mugs as he wished.

"Stay calm, everyone," he called out to the immediate vicinity in his tranquil, yet powerful voice. Certainly people were concerned, but hopefully they could keep any chaos at bay. "Penelope, come with me," he asked of his employee who was still near the smoothies. "Let's stay out of the way of Law Enforcement as they do their jobs, but we must investigate the nature of this magic." And he could certainly use one of his Spell Researchers to assist with that. Expecting her to follow, he headed over towards the fountain and silently began casting spell-revealing charms to investigate just what they were dealing with.

"Do you really think a vegetable smoothie with say cabbage, spinach and cucumber will be popular?" Aurora asked Raini, doubt clear in her voice, it didn’t sound very appetizing to her ears but then again she wasn’t a big vegetable eater. "I think we can wait---" with the menu board but stopped talking as Minister Hollingberry began speaking. Aurora listened to the speech in silence and when her name was called she bowed her head in recognition and gave a short wave of her left hand to the assembled employees.

Hearing noises coming from the fountain, Aurora looked over with many others just in time to see the fountain’s water turn red, and how fireworks sparks started to form the symbol of the deathly hallows. Not good, this was supposed to be a laid back event, no commotion. No such luck. When Raini left to go inspect the fountain Aurora called after him. "If you need extra help Raini, just say the word and I'll have my employees assist." In a crisis it was all hands on deck even if they usually worked with creatures and not weird magics. It was around that time that Charles spoke again to calm for calm.

If you work in Magical Law Enforcement or Accidents and Catastrophes then please seek out your department heads for fountain investigative instructions. If you don’t work in the mentioned departments then please leave the atrium in a timely manner and return to your departments to begin your work day." and with that Aurora turned back to her fruit smoothie station and quickly started to dismantle the station. The fruit she’d just send away to the nearest restaurant in the vicinity.
