See, she had already thought of it. She smiled warmly at the man. “Thank you, professor.” Could he tell that she was thrilled with how this lesson was turning out to be? “That’s the thing. The ends wouldn’t stay sticky long term. They’ll require changing and the sticky pads as needed.”
Once she’d explained to Schmoe this bit, the Snakette set to work by using a regular pencil to draw a laptop. Now, not being fully familiar with certain Muggle devices, the laptop among them, the use of her textbook was put forth. Using the details in the book, Claudine replicated the laptop but obviously on a larger scale on the top quarter of the cardboard being used {it had been divided into four large squares; two at the top and two at the bottom}. On the screen was a huge sad face. In a bubble, much like in those comic books, the words ‘Help! I have dust trapped in the places you can’t see!’ In the second panel at the top, the laptop remained but was joined by her invention: it was about as thick as a pencil and had the length of an unsharpened, new pencil. Like some pens, at the top there was a button thing to push. When it was pushed, a long, thin extension descended with the tiny sticky pad stuck on the bottom. In another bubble, the words from the device read ‘I can help you there!’
The third panel depicted the device doing its thing by cleaning between the keys. The final panel depicted the device showing off the now dusty pad and the laptop’s frown turned upside down! |
