 Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?
Ash had mixed feelings on this. She loved dream analysis, but she hated dreaming. So she was curious to see how this would turn out. She almost had a smile on her face, which was actually pretty good if you had ever met Ash.
She selected a plain-looking journal at a seat in the front. She flipped to the inside cover. She would like the inside cover to be art in its own right.
ASH- The word was in large dripping letters, like it was written in blood.
Third year Ravenclaw- The words were tiny, inked neatly in blue underneath the name. It almost contradicted what she had written before.
Just looking at the inside cover made whoever owned the journal look like a complicated and hard-to-understand person. Which Ash was pretty much going for anyway. She shut the journal. It was a plain-looking black journal. That was about it. Ash pulled a small phoenix sticker out of her pocket (where did she get these things???) and put it right on the cover. There. That was good enough.
She looked around to see if any of her friends were nearby. Not yet. She seemed to be the first one there. |
