Default Work Areas

The main work area is a large and open office with color-coordinated dividers and desk clusters providing nice sense of order and organization for the entire department in one area. The room is carpeted in grey throughout to complement and balance the varied color of the different sections here.

At the left of the room, you’ll find a table cluster accented in soft blue which serves as the work area for the Office of Misinformation, including desks for Obliviators, Reminisciators, Memorial Restoration and Retrieval Specialists, and the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee. Behind the magical photocopier, running entirely on enchantments, at the center of the room, you’ll find the Invisibility Task Force cluster of desks for those employees who work to conceal wizarding events and create unplottable structures. This area is accented in a vivid violet.

In the far corner, you’ll see those busy employees who make up the Spell Reversal Agency and Potion Accident Response Team of division two’s Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, accented in turquoise. Though they spend just as much time outside of the office, in the lab or in the training room as they do at their desks, they are still given the same spacious and comfortable work space as their coworkers.

Finally, tucked away around the corner from the inner corridor, right next to the conference room, you’ll find the indigo desks of the Experimental Charms Committee. Both Research and Development and Spell Registry folk have plenty of desk space here since their work is as much about the planning as it is about the doing. They might be down the hall in the training and trial room, however, so be sure to head down that way if you’re looking for someone in particular and they don’t seem to be around.

The entire space flows well and is clearly well thought out regarding which divisions are located in proximity to one another, but it is also decorated with lush plants and greenery, a favorite of the department head. There are plenty of protective charms in this work area, to ensure that the furniture won’t be damaged or spoiled by experiments and the like. Above your heads there is a steady flow of ministry interdepartmental memos, purple colored paper airplanes darting here and there. If it’s for you it will land on your desk, so don’t bother trying to catch them, they’re much too high to simply pluck them out of the air.
