Ministry of Magic, Level Six

Department of Magical Transportation

The Department of Magical Transportation is a division of the Ministry of Magic responsible for various aspects of magical transport, including apparition, broom travel, the floo network, portkey, and newly regulated magic carpets. Employees regulate and facilitate magical transportation and travel for the benefit of the magical community.

Level Six Reception Area
As you step off the lifts, you step into the plush seating area that doubles as the waiting area and entrance to Level Six, the Department for Magical Transportation. Whether you need to meet with someone about a Porkey, take exams for your Apparition license, report a broom malfunction, or need a Floo connection approved or repaired, you are in the right place. Please have a seat, enjoy the magazines and Daily Prophets, and someone will be with you shortly.
Office of Department Head Aurora Bagnold
As you enter the office, your met with sight of a wondrous eye-catching adult pink female fwooper sitting flown up on a bird stick by one of the bookshelves, watching you with its golden eyes, as well as the smell of this month's flowers washing over you. The decor of the room has a particular pink and theme from the paintings, to the furniture which makes you wonder if the Department Head just loves all things pink.
Apparition Classroom
Missed the testing at Hogwarts? Were you just a SMIDGE under the age requirement to get your license when Level Six was holding in-school lessons? Never fear! You can simply take a condensed lesson here at the Ministry and before you know it, you'll have your license and be apparating around London in no time!
Employee Work Area
Employees of the Magical Transportation Department, this is where you work! The majority of the space when you enter the Department from the lifts is given to these blocks of low-walled cubicles. Please find one close to the rest of your Division workers but other than that feel free to converse, send memos, or pass paper wads with your neighbors. The area within the dividers and walls of your workspace are your own so be creative. Go ahead and hang up posters, pictures, newspaper clipping and bring in items to decorate with. All things are welcome except noise-making items. Keep the work place noise to a low murmur, please.
Conference Room
A door on the wall beside the cubicles leads to a Conference Room where the Transportation employees will meet to discuss important matters. When a meeting is called everyone will report here when directed to unless other tasks have been assigned. The center of the room is taken up by a large square table with enough chairs around it to accommodate everyone and there are more in a closet if they are needed. The walls are covered with stylish art and a white board to use in presentations.
Level Six Break Room
When you aren't busy filing away records or helping invent new features for brooms, come on into the break room where you will find the coffee machines and some great food. This is a perfect place to take your lunch or get a quick snack in between long assignments. The room has a few tables and chairs, a sink, microwave, and refrigerator so you can keep your food stored and ready to eat. There are also some snacks provided on the countertops: Muffin baskets, candy bars, doughnuts, fruit, and cookies are a common stock in this room.
