The courtyard had been one of the few places at Hogwarts that Daniel loved to spend his time at. It didn't top the library but it was a close second. It was a simple place really where he went to read a book while seated at the edge of the fountain.

Today was a day like that, despite it getting colder outside Daniel had taken a seat on one of the stone benches in the right corner of the courtyard. He had been reading a new novel for the past twenty minutes when he had to take a short break.

He placed his book beside him on the stone bench and leaned his back against the wall behind him as his dark brown eyes found the pillar with the plaque on it. He had read it before so he stayed seated but wasn't it surreal that he was sitting here reading a book when a grand duel had taken place here? He let out a sigh, hoping to witness a duel like that one day. Maybe he'd be the one duelling?! That be so epic!
