The biggest downside of being a Muggleborn was that he had a limited amount of resources about the magical world. Despite his big brother being a wizard as well, there were still many things he wanted to learn. Coming from a wealthy muggle family meant that he had a library at home too because his mother had found it a must. But their books were not informative about magic at all.
Finally managing the get the ink off of his cheek, Daniel was secretly glad that both of them had not mentioned anything about it but also wondered if they would have stayed quiet even if he had not managed to get it off. He placed the tissue paper in his robe pocket as Alfie spoke about the librarian having the key to the Restricted Section. "...I knew that" he did not know and had assumed that the room was accessible. Well, that plan went down the drain. They needed an older student to help them out. He made a mental note to find someone later.
Daniel silently cringed at the Batman nickname that Lisa had decided to use after their first meeting in Diagon Alley. He had only introduced himself like that because he wanted to annoy Gellar but he didn't expect the nickname to get stuck. The pose that Lisa did was met with a raised eyebrow before he decided on answering her question. "Do I look like the theater type?" which was another way of saying no. He wasn't dramatic like Victoria Gellar.
