"Sorry to bother you, go back to sleep if you like."

Violet gave a polite smile back to the first year--well, not a first year for much longer-- Kaira, who'd entered the compartment just ahead of her. Heavens, imagine this past year having been your first year at Hogwarts! Violet wasn't in the mood to socialize, but felt she ought to make an effort for this girl. "How are you doing? Crazy first year, huh?" she said in what she hoped was a reasonably friendly manner--Violet could never quite tell.
Crazy first year? Crazy didn't even begin to describe it. 'Crazy..and just really all over the place!,' Kaira said. 'I hope it isn't always like this!,' she added jokingly. Kaira really couldn't take another year of this.

Though, if she could make it through this past year, she probably didn't need any extra survival skills.

"It-it will be...odd...f-finally seeing family," she noted to the two other girls. She wondered if the first year and Violet would have a hard time explaining their lack of communication to their families, like she anticipated having to do. Maybe that's where she could start, with the lying practice. Lying about why she hadn't written and hadn't come home for the holidays. At least she wouldn't have to explain all of her pants being too short, having grown several inches since her Babulya last hemmed them.

Maybe she should learn how to sew.
Well, she really had been sleeping, but it was nice of the girl not to be angry. A good sleep after this year didn't come easy. She smiled.

'It..really would be nice to get back!,' she said. She missed her family.

And so, she was wandering the train searching for the blonde. It didn't take her long to find her in a car near the middle section of the train, and she didn't bother to alert them to her presence or knock before sliding the compartment door open.

"Mamie." She said seriously, but then she couldn't help but break into a small smile at her. "Can I...talk to you in the corridor for a moment?" she asked gently. She gave a nod and a small wave to each of the other girls, Alice, and Kaira, but the seventh year needed to have her moment with the young Hufflepuff. She tossed some chocolate frogs at the girls, though. "Here. I brought gifts," she said with a casual shrug. Her voice sounded a little gruff.
That was sweet of the girl. Thanks, Kaira said. Sweet gesture, really.
