Eek! Penelope ducked as some very angry birds flocked towards her. She hated things flying at her face. Sian had found her weakness. In fact, the brief moment of terror caused by the birds was enough to throw her off enough that she just barely missed getting hit by Sian’s bombarda. Oh, right. The birds were just a simple transfiguration. She had a PhD in this stuff for Merlin’s sake. She could handle this. A simple vanishing spell soon took care of the birds that had been trying to attack her.

Really? Their head obliviator was on Sian’s side? Penelope wasn’t sure if he was a high ranking Neo-Alliance member or simply someone trying to protect his boss from what the woman was describing as an unprovoked attack. Whichever it was, it seemed she couldn’t trust some of her co-workers. It had been fairly obvious for a while that whatever was going on with the Neo-Alliance was no good, but it was still rather shocking to find that some of the people she worked closely with were so involved with it. Still, perhaps she should have seen it coming.

Uh, yeah, no. She wasn’t the one who was going to be arrested today. It seemed like the only people who had thus far offered any explanations of the situation so far were those on the side of the Neo-Alliance and she needed to get things straightened out before she got on the wrong end of the wands of the newcomers who had yet to choose a side in this fight. ”Ms. Llelwyn is wanted for being a high ranking member of the Neo-Alliance. They’ve infiltrated the ministry but now the jig is up and they will be taken into custody.” They knew what the Neo-Alliance was in at least some capacity, yes? The key takeaway here was that it was time to take back control from the Neo-Alliance.

Still alert and focused on keeping the suspects here until backup could arrive, Penelope cast an anti-disapparition jinx on the room in hopes that it would prevent them from escaping quickly.

Why was her dragon wasting its time chasing a duck? It was supposed to be going after Sian. In all the chaos, Penelope had missed the fact that the duck had originally been a person and not just some random object.

When the order came to stand down, Penelope lowered her wand but still kept a sharp eye on Sian and Dante in case they ignored the order. One could never be too careful. No more offensive spells for now, but there were some things to take care of first. Penelope aimed her wand at the duck. ”Reparifarge.” She repeated the transfiguration spell for the dragon. That should take care of things. Her attention was brought to the man who had given the order to stand down. Sorry, what was that about fires? ”Fires? Are you here to arrest Ms. Llelwyn?” Still keeping an eye on you, Sian.
