Jane was aware of Bain fleeing past her but her attention was now fully on the fire and on the directions from
Conley.
He didn't mention the worst case scenario, but he didn't have to--Jane knew he meant that the fire could spread throughout the rest of the Ministry. Backing up further down the hall, Jane turned and cast augmented water spells on everything that would be in the fire's path, soaking the floors, walls, and everything in between. In the area clear of the Technology Lounge, she didn't need to worry about electrical equipment any longer. Turning back, she watched to see how the others were faring. She had more powerful water spells, but they required a great deal of energy and attention, and Jane hoped they would not be necessary. Besides, she didn't want to replace a fire hazard with a water hazard.
