Mobile flesh-eating plant? Ha! That would be right up Adam's alley. Hey Zita, your boyfriend died because he was eaten by a plant. Although it sounded a little better then he was eaten by a star. No...no...the star sounded braver.
He was trying to decide how to answer Airey when he stopped talking. Adam glanced in (what he thought was) David's general direction wishing he were closer to his coworker so he could better judge the man's body language. But being closer would put him closer to Airey and well, that was one place Adam wasn't going to plac----
He stumbled back, hand clasping around the wand in his pocket as a scream filled the room. "David?" he called out unsure of what was happening. His foot caught on one of the steps of the amphitheatre. He waved his arms around, wand out to catch his balance because he was not going to fall.
And as Adam regained his balance, Airey started talking again. And nothing his boss said made sense. Adam took a few steps forward towards David. "Do you understent him?" He asked David as he waved his wand/hand in Airey's direction. "Airey?" he asked calling the man by his first name in over a year. If someone was going to summon help here, well, it wasn’t going to be Adam. The man did not know how to produce a patronus. "Vhat do you need boss?"
