She could feel it surrounding her. It was a feeling much like that of drowning. The words that were left unsaid were, ironically, very loud.

As she sat in this discomfort, she listened quietly to the questions of her colleagues. Mistake? To stay silent would be the mistake, to allow for injustice would be the mistake. But to declare such things right now, where they would have little impact? This would also be a mistake. She would find her colleagues after the meeting. They would meet in private, perhaps, to discuss together. A joint decision for how to proceed. With unity there came strength.

Still, she could not help the silent worry she wore on her features, her clear displeasure, her unspoken protests.
