With all they'd been working on improving this year, it only made sense that they'd kept non-verbals on the agenda too.
All set up, Nem grabbed a plant from box and tilted back on two chair legs. One at a time, they plucked the jewelweed blossoms from the stems and dropped them, one at a time, into the mortar, letting the pestle do the rest.
Did they think Recard wouldn't notice? Actually, it was likely she would, with a little attention. Nem was more interested in seeing how long it would take. An experiment, of sorts.
