Violet had more than enough reasons to hate Rosier already, but waking them up in the middle of the night was definitely right up on the list. She'd pulled on her school robes over her nightgown and woolen leggings and thrust her already-stockinged feet into her outdoor shoes and hurried out to the courtyard. But not before grabbing her wand, too--just in case. Violet never went anywhere or did anything without it nowadays.
Lurking in the back of the growing crowd of students, she began looking around to see who (and what) was there and trying to get a sense of her surroundings (though that was hard since it was still dark). The stars overhead seemed brighter than usual, and in unusual formations. Violet guessed it must be very early in the morning, a time that she had seldom observed the stars.
