It was absolute madness. There was so much going on: dragons breaking free, hooded figures throwing hexes at children, and lots of yelling. Not to mention the fact that Jasper had been hit with a nasty Incarcerous curse and was now dangling upside-down by a bunch of ropes. The group that he had been trying to protect was still being stared down by the increasingly angry-looking Hebridean Black. And his newest coworker had been stunned as well.
Luckily, he had his wand in his hand before he was hit with the jinx. Wriggling within the ropes, Jasper was able to direct it toward his ankle. "Diffindo!" he shouted firmly. The piece around his leg broke free, and he tumbled to the ground, letting out a groan as he landed with a thump. He quickly started to wriggle his way out of the severed ropes.
Jasper's head was spinning. It was almost too much to take in. And he knew that they were massively outpowered. The only thing he could do was heed his department head's instructions and get the children to safety.
"Protego maxima!"He cast another protective spell toward the dragon, trying to by the students some time to escape as he clambered to his feet. "Come on. We need to get you all to safety," he said hurriedly to the group, attempting to guide them to the reserve building—his wand still drawn behind him at the ready position. |
