Spells flying all over the place and invisible shields being cast.

Then there was the Neo-Alliance. They were shouting for them all to release the dragons? Is that why they were here? Dahlia didn't know what to do or who to listen to. All she knew was she had to stick with her group, all of which were right there with her. Safe behind the invisible shield that had been cast over them by some women she didn't know but would thank later.

"What do we do?" she whispered to her small teakettle group. At some point her hand had found its way into Tadhg's, gripping it tightly. Wherever they wanted to go, whatever they wanted to do, she was okay with. As long as they all stuck together.

What she wanted and what happened next was two very different things. The flapping and gust of wind that came at her from behind was heard and felt before she had time to react to it. What felt like completely out of nowhere a HUGE dragon was right over her. It's talons ripped through her robes and clothing beneath like butter as it grabbed her and lifted her up off the ground, the grip on her besties hand broken like it had never happened.

The pain didn't register quite as fast as her current situation. And the only thing she could think of was to scream. It was a scream of both fear and pain and confusion. What she was meant to do?! "Let me go! LEMME GOOOOOO!!!" Lia shrieked, her gaze catching sight of the ground below.

Uhhhhhh...

Wait. Don't let here. No, let her go. Don't.

As much as she loved dragons and wanted an experience of being close to one... this was not what she had in mind! Neither was being dropped from Merlin knows how high up she even was. Should she try to get to her wand. Would she even be able to accurately cast anything at the dragon if she did? Would any of her spells even work on it?!

Where was this powerfully large beautiful angry dragon taking her?! Could she ask the dragon to bring her home?
Devin had been hooked on this lesson since the word dragons had been mentioned. They were one of his very favorite things. He had, naturally, started jabbering on about everything he knew about every known breed of dragons which was quite a lot of information. The excitement had only grown when he found out it would be a field trip to visit dragons. Not only because it was dragons, but because his dad worked on a dragon reserve. Specifically, the Welsh one.

It was somewhat of a relief when they arrived at the reservation his dad worked at. Maybe if dad was here, Devin could find him and refuse to go back to Hogwarts and just go home with Dad instead. If it weren’t for the gravity of the situation and the presence of The Hoods, this field trip would have been the best day ever.

Lia, Atlas, Camryn, and Tadhg had arrived on the tea kettle portkey with him. He stuck with them, not daring to get lost with The Hoods stirring up trouble. ”My dad works here! Maybe if we find him he’ll help us. He desperately wanted to find out if dad was on duty today. It was doubtful that The Hoods would allow him to tell his dad what was happening to Hogwarts.

Devin was deeply suspicious of why the neo-alliance thugs had let them all come here today. Were they planning on feeding the muggleborns to the dragons? Or planning on setting the dragons loose to destroy muggle communities? He had a very bad feeling from this. Perhaps not even dad would be safe from The Hoods.

WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT DESTROYING THE HOME OF THESE DRAGONS??? Dad could be in real trouble here. They were all going to be in real trouble. The reservation wasn’t just a place to hide dragons from muggles, it was a place for the dragons to call home where people wouldn’t bother them or hurt them.

”Where’s Atlas?” Hadn’t the kid been with them at the start? OH NO THEY HAD LOST ATLAS! What if he got attacked by The Hoods or got in trouble with a dragon?

Devin watched in horror as Lia was scooped up by a Chinese Fireball and there was nothing he could do to stop it. ”LIA!” This was bad, this was really bad. That was a Chinese Fireball and those dragons could eat people. Devin shot up red sparks with his wand, hoping someone would come help. One of the things he knew about dragons was that he was not powerful enough to use magic to control them. It took years of training to know how to do that without getting hurt. Where was Dad? He’d know what to do.
