Yes yes. The magical storm. This felt like a whole new kind of magical storm, a worse and more insidious one. She would never blame her husband for either of those things. She knew how much he cared about the children he was responsible for, how hard he worked, what he gave up with his own family in order to protect those children....
…a baby. A horrifying suggestion all things considered, namely that her husband hadn't been her husband for long enough that any baby wouldn't be his at all. Talia smiled weakly and stood up. "Please, enjoy your drink on me." She placed a few coins on the table to cover their drinks and added, "We'll do dinner soon, Charles."
With that she quickly left. Now what? What could she do? Who could she talk to? Who would believe her?
