The lifts were going to be working again soon as well? He overheard that correctly, yes? Well, what a relief! It sure seemed like things in the Ministry were on the up-and-up again. Finally. The floos and lifts not working properly and having to settle with owls did not make things easy. Now if only there was a way to make all that paperwork he had to deal with easier to take care of.
"After so long without them working," Frankie replied to the woman, "it would be absurd to not be excited about it. It's a pity that it took so long to fix them up." And he left it at that. What exactly had been wrong with them, he wasn't curious enough to ask. They were functioning again which was all he needed to know to be satisfied. He didn't care to know all the details about why they hadn't been working properly all this time.
He did care for his former professor, however. After all, this was the man that did facilitate that discussion all those years ago that got him to where he was now.
