Delilah somehow managed to nod along to what the professor was saying. It made perfect sense now. So that was why they couldn't touch the rocks as they wrote their initials on them. She brought her chosen rocks closer to her. Now she wished she hadn't picked the super tiny rock. Oh, well. It was her's now, no matter what fate it brought along with it.

She gave the professor a raised eyebrow expression. An omen? Wasn't this school year bad enough without learning more about omens? She started to answer, but then the lesson had moved on again. It was just as well. She was only going to repeat what everybody else had said.

Anyway, she pulled out a quill and a piece of parchment. Oh...so the little tiny rock she'd chosen earlier was actually a sign of a good omen? Awesome! She picked up the first rock, held it up, and then jotted some notes on her parchment. She then picked up the other rocks one at a time and jotted down notes about them, too. When she was done, she reread her notes.
