Excuse you, Wendell, the best idea in Nem's speech, was all of them. All their ideas were great ideas, and the absolute best were the ones they did not even deign to share, so jot that down.
In what world was catching a cockatrice in a cage less entertaining than just setting a weasel or jarvey on it? Wayne's world, apparently. Nem's vague contempt was masked only by an inscrutable stare as he moved on to the next student.
And then... for the love of Merlin. Always something, wasn't there? Nem stared fixedly away as the chaos erupted, to all intents and purposes choosing to look away from what was probably considered a disturbing sight. Presumably. Couldn't tell for sure, on account of not seeing it. Nem just wanted to wait until they could get started, and - when they did - went ahead and grabbed a pair of sunglasses, which happened to have white framed, and some protective gear that looked like it would more or less fit.
No partnering up. Nem was perfectly content staying quiet, keeping to themselves, not engaging with anything but the lesson itself. Distancing themselves from this lot, ta very much.
Even Wilbur was getting himself threatened now. What a joke.
