Charles, thankfully, maintained a steadiness there with Kaiser still. The young man was a hard-working and determined individual who Charles had formed a very affectionate attachment to the boy. He needed invite the boy out to dinner or lunch again soon, now that he thought about it. And perhaps speak to Fletcher again about continued to make Alphonsine a more permanent feature as the Senior Undersecretary's personal assistant.
"Ah yes, an outstanding feature of Godric's Hollow," Charles beamed while pushing in her chair and then settling in to his own opposite her. There was a ribbon severing ceremony of some sort Charles was meant to oversee soon...but the details were getting lost in the sea of other paperwork accumulating on his desk.
"And a ginger ale for me, please," he smiled at the waitress, waiting until she had shuffled herself back to the kitchen before his eyes settled upon the brunette sitting across from him. "Oh? Planning something romantic just for the two of you?" He was giving her a cheeky knowing grandfatherly sort of look, the twinkle in his eye not as vibrant as it typically was but still present. It would explain all the secrecy, after all. "Now you don't need to worry about young Mavis and Kale. You know they are more than welcome to stay with me any time you need."
