Yeah no, sorry,
Stella wasn't exactly excited about a giant stinky flower, no matter how rare and amazing it supposedly was. Here's the thing: you could watch things like that from the comfort of your own home and had been able to for over a hundred years. She didn't need the stink of it to make it more magically real or anything.
Also it wasn't even a magical plant so that was kind of ho hum too.
Unlike her last orientation, the first one she had been to a year prior, she had brought a date. Or, well, a plus one. Not exactly a date because she tended to find dates boring (it was more fun to skip to the after part), but more a friend who she honestly was looking forward to just kind of... unleashing on the room at large. If nothing else, James Summers would provide all the entertainment that the stinky giant flower (which was also, for the record, ugly as hell, unlike her date) could not. The French girl really didn't have the highest of hopes, but maybe it would beat the sober karaoke event of the previous year (the bar was low, so who knew?).
Food and drinks though, she could get behind. And after doing a bit of mingling maybe they could bounce early and go somewhere a little more entertaining. Maybe with James, maybe with someone else, but she was certain that her plus one was the most interesting prospect. She had her arm linked with his right now as they walked into the greenhouse area.
"Have you seen one of those before?" Those... corpse flower things.
