With it being a slow day and with lots of paperwork to be done, Megan was procrastinating. Despite her extensive work life, she never picked up the aptitude for paperwork. So, she was quite unmotivated at the moment. And since there was nothing that required her to be out in the field right now, she decided to procrastinate further in the Training Room. She had nothing particular in mind but when she got to the Room, she quite forgot about training.

There was an owl fluttering helplessly about. Megan was half afraid that it would fly at her and peck the heck out of her as it was doing to the walls. She also felt sorry for it. How did one coax an anxious bird into being calm? Perhaps if she held out her arm with the lower part before her chest, like a perch, it would take the hint?

“You look mighty tired,’’ Megan stated to get its attention.
