Well this was it. Naya had arrived at the Muggle Studies classroom to get her baby. Boy that sounded weird. She was a little anxious about the whole thing. She was not totally unfamiliar with babies, but she had never been completely responsible for one. Even though this wasn’t a real baby, the idea of caring for it was a little scary and for a grade no less. Since she did not have a partner to co-parent with, Naya was about to become a single mother. Yikes!

Naya went directly to the Professor’s desk and made her request. “Hello Professor. I’m here to pick up my baby.” She wondered if that was how her parents felt when they picked her up for the first time. Scared, excited, anxious. Would she get a boy or a girl? Any minute now, Naya would find out.
