Putting two and two together wasn't exactly one of Cora's greatest strengths. She was rubbish at Arithmancy. She just wanted to get inside the Common Room and maybe practice some jinxes on a few first years because she was a top notch student who took her spellwork very seriously. Obviously.
But then Jó rocked up, mentioned something or other about Stella? And --- STELLA. In the painting!? Cora looked at the lady who was still hanging around. So she wasn't just a fat lady she was THE Fat Lady™.
She quickly turned her attention back to Stella the apparently new Fat Lady. "C'mon, get out of there you nutter, I don't want to have to share a dorm with this one," she pointed a thumb at the lady. She looked like a snorer. And a farter.
Why couldn't this have happened to Carsyn instead.
