Was he supposed to sit down? Gunnar remained unsure even as more students began to arrive, because even though he was sure that they'd be leaving soon, he also figured they had some things to talk about before they did. But he soon noticed Kodee beckoning him over, and he started to step that way before his eyes fell on who he was standing next to. Kaiser. Great. Hadn't Kodee noticed that they were no longer friends?

At any rate, Gunnar would be polite. And he wasn't about to forgo his other friends because of any issues he might have with anyone else. "Come on, mate, it's not that early," he murmured, amused, to the nearly asleep Gryffindor. No, okay, it totally was too early on a Saturday. But that's what a hot cup of caffeine was for.

"Drew," he nodded to the Ravenclaw quietly as he joined them, smirking slightly at the salute. "At ease." Was this going to be a recurring theme? Because... well maybe he could get used to it.

And once Professor Sandhu began, he turned his attention towards her. Gunnar was used to this type of elementary question during these seminar types of lessons when they had all the years present together. He could only assume that it was meant to be easily answered by all ages, and he typically kept silent to allow the youngest ones answer. But perhaps he could offer an educated answer among the wealth of vague and basic.

As he raised his hand, he caught sight of Alessandro looking their way and he furtively gestured for him to come over. He supposed the seventh year boys could group together, but also he'd really appreciate his presence. But just as quickly, he turned his eyes back to Sandhu to offer his answer.

"As most people are diurnal, or most active during the daytime, the sun is a big factor in establishing and regulating our circadian rhythm. Though it also does that for other diurnal creatures as well as nocturnal creatures, and even in plants. In fact, the sun is one of the key components for plants to grow. Plants need the sun to live; we need the sun to live. All living creatures do." Gunnar paused. "Sorry, professor. Really broad question." He could go on and on about the benefits of the sun in relation to flora and fauna, but he doubted that was so relevant for Astronomy class today.
