Okay, so yeah, they were having a cleaning party. But it wasn't like other cleaning parties. It was a ~cool~ cleaning party.

Only ~COOL~ cleaning parties had a speaker playing fun bops (that were practically prehistoric as they dated back to when Finneas was a mere Hogwartian himself, but that's because SURELY cool kids still listened to the same jams years and years later... right!?). And only ~COOL~ parties had a table of snacks to help quench the hunger brought on by all your hard work!!! And only ~COOL~ parties involved Quidditch-hoop-looking rubbish bins and a large supply of cleaning products!!

In fact, Professor Schmoe was SO proud of the ~COOLNESS~ that he was standing directly in the center of the Common Room with hands placed awkwardly on his hips, awaiting the arrival of all the Ravenclaws newly sorted and otherwise. Once everyone had gathered in the space, he cleared his throat. Whew. Almost hacked a loogie by accident! Whew! Close one. "Hello Ravenclaws, Welcome home!" Finneas awkwardly raised a hand to mess with his hair, but decided against it in a last minute change of heart and instead... just... patted his own head in compromise.

"We uh..." He looked around with his beady eyes at the Common Room that was practically swimming in all sorts of grime, dust, and abandoned scraps of various ... things. "Have a lot of work to do... But the better we work together, the err faster we can get this place cleaned and err the sooner it'll start feeling like a true home." He offered them a nervous smile, having seen a large dust bunny float right by him as he spoke. "We need to err dust surfaces... Clean windows... Sweep... Mop..... Errr... Deep clean anything and also... everything." Uh. Welcome back? "But! It will be fun! Cleaning is fun!"

..... He looked to his prefects. Did they errrr have any words of encouragement? Because... Now would be the time to share them.
