Bernie was watching everyone around her come and go, chit and chat. There seemed to be quite a crowd forming around this one older boy; he looked like a seventh year if she had to guess. But because she'd ridden the boats over, she had no idea what he was talking about, and found him rather easy to tune out.

Wellp, that was all the invitation this second year needed. Bernadette plucked herself and her bag up and plopped down next to the redhead, down at the busy end of the table. "Sup." She eyed the girl, whose name she had forgotten since that one time in Diagon Alley, then eyed Phoebe, then eyed the redhead again. "You need something?" Bernie didn't have much, but she did still have some jelly beans, bubble gum, peppermint toads, and one jelly slug, if she was hungry. She might even share those with these other Gryffindors, if they were nice to her.

Also, "Hi Phoebe," Bernie flashed her teeth at her fellow second year in something like a smile. "Didja have a cool summer?"
